Gylepi couldn’t remember having a wider smile on his face. He hadn’t been around when his daughter had been born, and it was only by sheer luck that he was around for his son.
He tapped Ruyn’s nose with his finger, and a tiny hand reached up to grasp it, barely big enough to wrap all the way around it.
‘At least this one didn’t end up with your nose,’ Aari teased, poking the archer’s substantial snout.
Gylepi laughed and tickled his son under his chin. ‘You’d have been mocked for life if you’d ended up with that,’ he warned.
