Character 100-ish 086: Aari
I've been looking forward to her :D

I've always pictured her with her long elegant neck and long earrings to set it off.
NAME Aari
WHO IS THIS PERSON Wife of Gylepi, one of the archers in the current King's Own.
GENDER Female
AGE 27
BRIEF BIO Aari was born in SUPER-high-class Ni-Yana and took up painting as a hobby when she was a little kiddie. She's never felt the need to sell any of her paintings, and couldn't do so if she did need to, either.
She met Gylepi when she was 15, painting a sunset on the riverbanks. Gylepi was watching over her shoulder for a while before she noticed, at which point he awkwardly complemented her on her painting, for which she awkwardly thanked him. They talked for the rest of the evening, growing more natural the longer they talked, until Gylepi awkwardly asked to walk her home, to which she accepted. He asked if she'd like to see him again, and she said yes.
They married the next year, when Aari was 16. Three years later was a big year--it was the year Gylepi got in the Own AND Aari got pregnant. She had Lania while Gylepi was away, alas, but he WAS there for the birth of their second child, Ruyn.
When Ruyn was three, he was bitten by a thrai. Yamin was able to save him with yrae magic, but he did go blind, poor little tacker.
CHARACTER Aari does her best to be happy for Gylepi in his position with the Own, but she's terrified every time he leaves for a mission and worries terribly until he returns. Aari is generally a very mild-mannered woman, but she gets a dangerous edge to her voice when she gets angry. Her children have come to recognise this edge well, and, being the spoilt little brats they are, they like to test her to see just how far they can go.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Aari, like her husband, likes the simple things in life—standing out in the rain, watching the desert change colours at sunset and sunrise, a hug from her family members, anything like that.
Aari prefers hugs over kisses, because to her they feel more loving and warm.
Aari wears tasteful, unobtrusive jewellery, much of which Gylepi has brought back from Kazin for her. He's good at picking it.
When Aari gets bored of a painting hanging on the wall at home, she'll replace it with a new one.
Aari and Gylepi are my faaaavourite Own couple. I love them so bad. They're adorable <3
