Something I've been meaning to do for a while (as it is with a lot of these things >>): Raykinian currency. Or rather, Tsyllaes, since everyone uses the same coinage.
You prolly know by now that they use gold, silver and copper coins, but prolly not a lot beyond that. So, here's a mini!ramble that's not big enough to get its own spot on the rambles list.
The base is the copper. Most trading's done in silvers and coppers, very occasionally golds. A silver is worth ten coppers, and a gold is worth a hundred coppers, or ten silvers.

To put that more in perspective, a silver would be worth an Australian dollar (currently that's about 70 American cents), so a gold is about $10 ($7 American) and a copper would be 20 cents (14 American).

So, if you'll remember this 15min fic, you'll understand why Nol's a bit pissy that he's being asked to pay 9 gold pieces for a Liquid Sunset. That'd be a $90 beer ($64 American), which does not make for a happy Nol X3;
