Character 100-ish 101: Elara

Yesterday was movie-going day! Because it was cheap. So I only got to draw Elara and by then it was 12:30 and I was sleepy. So. She gets profiled today.


Like her brother, not looking quite as enraged as I'd envisioned. Oh well. She still looks a lot like Ynuk.

BRIEF BIO Elara grew up as the middle child with two brothers, Kael and Ynuk, faaar south of the Main Road in Ni-Yana with their parents, but Elara's father was murdered when she was eleven or twelve. The family was told he died in a boating accident, but they all know otherwise. So Ynuk, Elara and Kael became pickpockets to make ends meet. Elara would use her womanly wiles to lure drunk rich men into side alleys while Ynuk was the muscle to grab them and Kael lifted their coin. They were a good team.
She married a guy named Haeqo when she was 19, and being as he's a side-character with nothing more than a name to a side-character in a side-story I wrote a year ago, that's as much as you're going to find out about him. Elara was killed less than a year later, by people who were out to hurt her big brother Ynuk by killing everyone close to him. Suckage.

CHARACTER Fiercely protective of her family, both her brothers and mother and her new family with her husband. Elara is quick to temper and quick to defend them with words or violence, even when they start putting each other down. She was, once she moved out and married, trying to make a better and more honest life for herself.
