My not-a-NaNo this year is to create the characters who need creation, by pulling their names out of a tiny little box.

My gold pencil swatch was too bright so I had to severely tone back on the saturation on that layer. Possibly still stands out a bit.

BRIEF BIO As the son of one of the current Llayan council, Georgio early on in his life was introduced to the rest of the council. He gained his first job in the Llayan government at age 22 and was quickly introduced to the royal family. He and Evelandel quickly took a shine to one another, and he openly announced his courtship to her after a couple of months. Llayan tradition then gives them two years of formal courtship, then they're engaged for six months, and then marriage yaaaay. They travelled around the kingdoms for a bit, introducing the new Llayan crown prince to the other royals around the world, which was quite an eye-opening experience for Georgio, who had never before left Wensleydale, let alone left Llayad. They'd been married for two years when they had their first child, Anakarina, who has been introduced earlier on in this Character List Doozie. For some reason (probably 'narti's laziness) they haven't had any kids since then. They were due to go on the traditional royal meet-and-greet with their daughter not long ago, but then shit started going down first in Raykin and then in Kazin, so they prudently put that off.
Llayan royalty has a WAY more boring life than the Kazinian assassins. WHO KNEW?

CHARACTER Casually ambitious, if that's a thing. Georgio and Evelandel hit it off originally because both of them have the same ideas about the ruling of the royal family. Traditionally, they've really just been figureheads for the council and taken little role in the governing of their own kingdom. Georgio and Evelandel both want very much to be solid rulers in their own right. Georgio sits in on every council meeting and poses his own ideas, much to the delight of the council. He's a popular boy among the Llayan politicians, though probably a bit more focused on this leadership deal than people skills. He's a bit stilted in his conversation, not at all good on making small talk, basically pretty boring. He loves his little girl, though, and often sits in on her schooling lessons.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Naming the Llayan royals after friends is a bit of a tradition now. As such, Georgio is named after

ladylight whose surname is George. Why do so many of you have such short, un-Llayan names? >< Work on that, guys.

Georgio doesn't have an artistic bone in his body. He's tried and he has no idea how to appreciate art or music, which is a pretty big downfall in Llayad. He leaves all that side of things to his lovely wife.

He does know his wine, though. And spirits, and Raykinian beer. Never to the point of excess (he's still Llayan, guys) but he's certainly got his palette sorted.
