Not a NaNo 11: Lucibella

Back on this year's Not-A-NaNo where I create character for those who have none by pulling their names out of a small box.
Apparently blondes do have more fun.
NAME Lucibella
WHO IS THIS PERSON Baby sister of Sebastian (Sallie's) and Florien (Saku's). Seb is a Llayan chef created to be Kurae's future boyfriend.
GENDER Female
AGE 19
BRIEF BIO I completely forget Seb's and Florien's backgrounds in Llayad. I know they come from money, and Sebastian was a chef for a castle. Lucibella herself was learning to be a singer. So anyway, they moved to Ni-Yana when Lucibella was 14, because of reasons, and Lucibella haaaaated it. HATED. She cried and tantrumed and threatened to run away, and once she DID run away only to (THANKFULLY) be caught by one of the Talons, Raykin's police force. She missed home desperately. Nobody spoke right in Raykin, the food was weird and boring, they were loud and they didn't appreciate her Llayan singing, the people stared at her and talked about her, she KNEW they were even though she couldn't understand them, and nobody cared about her feelings at all.
One day, after a year or more of her feelings not being listened to, Sebastian took her on a bit of a brother-date. He showed her the markets, and where all the Llayan art and rugs and imported foods were. He took her to a classy local restaurant for lunch, showed her the artists painting by the river, and to a singing lounge in the evening. With teenage stubbornness, Lucibella reluctantly agreed that Ni-Yana might have something to offer her. She got chatting with a couple of the girls at the singing lounge and made friends with them.
Over the next few years, Lucibella starts maturing a little bit. She starts flirting and flaunting a bit, strings a few boyfriends along (who usually disappear when they meet Sebastian, who disapproves in an adorable big brother kind of way. Only he's hacking up nira carcases at the time. With a meat cleaver. YEP) and generally goes native.
CHARACTER Once she gets over her annoying bratty teenage phase, Lucibella embraces life in her new home. She's come to realise that Raykinians are actually a pretty fun and relaxed bunch of people, and has fully opened up to that society. She's as loud and open as any Raykinian, even while at home with her dear brothers. She's still very argumentative and even less afraid to speak her mind, and still pretty selfish, too. She leaves Sebastian to look after their sick older brother most of the time, preferring to go out and party into the night, doing her token hour or two of effort in the morning. She's still growing up.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Still a professional singer, Lucibella sings nightly at some singing lounge in Ni-Yana's top end.
Not into warriors. She doesn't get what Sebastian sees in Kurae at all. As he does most people, Kurae scares her. She's all for the wild, outgoing types. The real Raykinians, as she likes to refer to them.
She and Fali would be AWESOME friends if they ever met.

Date: 2013-11-26 06:16 pm (UTC)But yay they have their baby sister now! And lol, reading this bio out to Ku, Ku was all "wow, you can tell she's Florie's sister. Selfish. Why is Seb the only nice one?" (Because he's the middle child, obvs. SHE CAN GROW OUT OF IT THOUGH)
Now I need like.. us all to write a siblings thing.
THEIR BACKSTORY WAS... they had a big of money. When their parents died tragically and it went to Florien, who decided to actually give back to Seb (who hated having to cook for the BLAND PALETTES of his castle folk) so they went to open a restaurant in Raykin with the money, somewhere the food could stand out and be interesting. So obviously, baby sister had to come too.
God I just. See. Seb having to sit and talk to her through her tantrums. And then sit and help Florie through his pain. And then go cook food and make them both happy with amazing meals.
