Continuing to pull names out of a small box and give them all character!
Does that crown look like an afterthought? Cos it was.
NAME Prince Kuhedrin
WHO IS THIS PERSON Llayan prince and Lynnlita's brother. Kuhedrin is the second of four royal children.
GENDER Male without a penis
AGE 31
BRIEF BIO Kuhedrin has been Prince Kuhedrin since, idk, probably about age 4 or 5. He always preferred spending time with his father than his mother and felt uncomfortable around his big sister and her friends, very shy and barely ever said a word. As soon as he decided he wanted to be called Prince rather than Princess, his parents happily chucked out his wardrobe (or rather, handed it all down to Amyrallyn) and gave him pants and jackets to wear instead. The transformation was pretty much instantaneous. Suddenly, with people referring to him as 'he', Kuhedrin opened up. With that major point of his life worked out so early on, he's had a pretty relaxed and happy life.
Kuhedrin has never shown much interest in politics. He loves going out of the castle to be among the people, not just in Wensleydale but all around the massive lake that Wensleydale sits on the edge of. He loves to mingle, to help out in whatever way he can. While on one of his trips around the lake, he met Sallianne, who he's now been married to for about a decade. The two of them have adopted two kiddies, who will also be coming up in this character thingo. Yeah apparently Anakarina isn't the only royal Llayan kiddie anymore. SHOCK.
CHARACTER Kuhedrin is full of wonder. He loves seeing the world outside the castle and, prior to meeting Sallianne, he rarely spent more than a month or two there at a time. Now he has a family to take care of, though, he's as dedicated to them as any Llayan father. He's incredibly chivalrous, very much bound by honour and a desire to be polite and helpful to everyone around him. It has meant that a lot of people have come to depend on him, though, and he sometimes has trouble balancing people and family, sometimes.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Kuhedrin, obviously, is named after Saku. Kuhedrin, when this prince was born, was a feminine name. His parents offered to change it for him when he decided he was a prince, not a princess, but he denied them that. Kuhedrin was his name, and he'd stick with that. So now, by virtue of being royalty, Kuhedrin has become a gender neutral name in the 26 years since then.
As a teenager he deliberately dropped his voice until Lynnlita--who was, like, eight at the time and no less opinionated than she is now--asked him why he bothered. He realised he didn't really have an answer, so now he just talks normally.
If Llayad had them, Kuhedrin would be a knight. He learnt swordfighting and once competed in the Llayan Tournament but hasn't gone back since.
Kuhedrin loves poetry, composing it and listening to it. Being as I am shit at it, you're likely never to see any of it.

Date: 2013-11-28 02:23 pm (UTC)I love that since they don't have all the medical and such that we people do, a transperson only changes in attitude/name/etc, so Kuhedrin has a very born-gender look to their face, even if they are their chosen gender. I dooo like that.
HE WOULD BE A KNIGHT IN EVERY WAY EVEN IF THEY DON'T HAVE THE CONCEPT. He will totally be the stuff of stories in years to come!

Date: 2013-11-29 07:59 am (UTC)Yeah, if Llayad had medical stuff, Kuhedrin would be ALL over it and growing face fuzz and everything. As it is, he looks as manly as he can without the necessary genes.
They used to have knights! Like, hundreds of years ago. Then the Tsaythi alliance happened and they decided that with them as protection, their own knights and such were pretty lacklustre by comparison so they don't do that any more. Also that was before they'd decided on the whole 'everyone equal' thing so knights were kind of elitist, but their romantic qualities have lived on in stories and such, and so, Kuhedrin!

I can't believe I am a friend close enough that I get to be part of this dedication thing you are doing. I love his story and how magical and happy it is. Go you for having a happy existence, sir!
I love that his name became a gender natural one, and he was the one to change that! Also his hair is so pretty!
