Eh, not so happy with this one. She's supposed to be cheekily poking her tongue out but it doesn't seem to be working so well. Doubtless I'll be trying this face out again later to get it right.

WHO IS THIS PERSON Meesh is a Raykinian (yes, Raykinian) spy working in Assiraz. Raykin calls its spies 'Eagles'.

BRIEF BIO Meesh grew up in Assiraz Province with her mother, three half-brothers and a string of her mother's lovers. They made a living growing the bright green parrots that the Kazinian armies use to fletch their arrows, because someone bloody has to. One day when she was delivering the latest consignment to the city, Meesh discovered something far more valuable to deal in than green feathers: information. She overheard a suspicious conversation while she was waiting for payment on the boxes she was delivering, discussing idk robbing someone rich maybe. Instead of ~~turning into an assassin like EVERYBODY in this bloody empire seems to do~~ going to the investigators, because no sane Kazinian trusts the investigators, Meesh sought out the person who was the target and warned him. As a reward, the would-be target paid her about double what she'd just been paid for the feathers.
Meesh ran home and showed off her shiny reward to her mother, who told her she should make a go of it. She'd always been good at sniffing out information, and her mother would be ever so proud of her little girl if she climbed up in the world, away from green parrots. She was, like, 18 by this point, so frankly she's been hanging around home for too long for a Kazinian anyway. Meesh went for it.
Aside from the spy arm of the Bouquet, Kazinian spies are freelancers, for want of a better word. Whatever info they find, they sell it to whoever's likely to pay the most for it. Meesh uncovered a plot, inside the Assiraz palace because she's good like that, that targeted King Mithé. Being such an enterprising girl, Meesh bought a horse and nicked off to Ni-Yana to sell her information to him. Mithé, being such a good guy and seeing more than just the desire for money in the girl, offered her a job in the Raykinian Eagles. (It wasn't that quick, Mithé's no fool, I'm just rushing because this is a BRIEF bio, apparently) HELL YEAH said Meesh and signed up right away.
She took a quick lesson in Raykinian in Ni-Yana, just to get her up to speed with the other new recruits that year, during which time Mithé made sure to make professional-friends with her, then she was shipped off to Ni-Aneka just upstream where all the Eagles are trained. She perfected her Raykinian and polished the already pretty good skills she had for spying, then Mithé gave her a tick of approval and off she went back to Assiraz. Meesh is now the head of the Eagles in Assiraz. Every piece of intelligence that's come up in Silent Harmony can be attributed to her, including knowledge of the war Shizaaqa was about to start.

CHARACTER Quick-witted, cheeky and very loyal to the Raykinian throne. She considers herself Raykinian now. She has a very disarming manner that will have anyone telling her their secrets while she promises not to tell anyone. She's a fun, completely normal citizen of Assiraz City who loves to have a cocktail at the same bar every night with certain people she never sees outside the said cocktail bar :D

POINTS OF INTEREST

Raykinians can't say 'Meesh' because lol lisp fail. They call her 'Meeth'. In Kazinian, 'Meeth' is a derogatory term. In Raykin she just goes by 'Eagle' =| The joke got old YEEEARS ago.

She's infiltrated the Assriaz palace, giving herself the title of 'Supervisor of Domestic Affairs' because it's both boring but long enough for nobody to question what it actually means. Everyone assumes she's someone else's responsibility. She's made sure to keep clear of Fern who would doubtless look into her.

...Yeah she's so going to get her own novel some time, isn't she?
