Character 100-ish 040: Commander Naved

Cricket is the perfect thing for drawing in front of, except that my laptop screen means I have to draw at 66% but whatever.
Despite what he looks like, I didn't use Daniel Craig as a reference. I have no idea why he looks like Daniel Craig. Oh well. At least he doesn't look like Jesus.
NAME Commander Naved
WHO IS THIS PERSON One of the Commanding Circle in the Assiraz army
GENDER Male
AGE 40
BRIEF BIO I don't know this person so this'll be another fun one. Right, so. Naved is an Assiraz local who never knew his father and lived with his very strict mother, his mother's new squeeze and let's give him three younger sisters. Pretty typical setup for a Kazinian household. Naved himself, not wanting to resign himself to being the secondary father figure to his sisters, decided to go and do the only honourable thing a man in Kazin can do and joined the army.
Naved never excelled very much with weapons, but when it came to the theory and tactics, he understood concepts just like that. Because of this he very quickly began climbing the leadership ranks, reaching the rank of Commander by the time he was 35. He's led various... companies/squadrens/whatever I'm calling them... of the army into battle, usually to interfere with wars going on between other provinces and get them to shut up. Now Naved works at the top end of things, rarely having to actually leave the palace.
Meanwhile, he flirted with several ladies here and there before he found one to settle down with. They're as married as Kazinians get, with three teenage children. The two boys are just starting their own army training but they're not quite so enthusiastic about it, much to Naved's disappointment.
CHARACTER Very patient and calm. Naved likes to have all the information he can get before making rash decisions, a good balance within the Commanding Circle. He's the voice of reason, the one who can calm down a potentially volatile situation by somehow taking both sides and making everyone less unhappy. He always speaks in a reasonable, measured voice, never one to raise a stir.
POINTS OF INTEREST
I pulled out two of the Top Eight (specifically Yan and Mithé) from my box of names before I got this dude out.
Naved is an expert at dealing with Empress Shizaaqa. He's often the one of the Circle to vocalise their collective thoughts and plans, especially when they know their plans differ from hers.
He and Zakaariss were the two to survive the Bouquet's invasion of the Assiraz palace, woo Naved!

HAY KU, WANT AN ARMY COMMANDER? HAVE TWO. SALLIE YOU CAN HAVE ANOTHER ONE, TOO. COMMANDERS FOR EVERYONE (EXCEPT ME). Aww yeah, putting the army in control of the outsiders, clearly I am a tactical GENIUS.
