Character 100-ish 064: Prince Kanera

Mum's long straight nose, thin lips, sharp cheekbones, wavy red hair that he cuts short so you can't see the waves... yeah clearly Shizaaqa's are the dominant genes in this boy. This is his 'That was a pretty dick move, Sahid. Wish I'd thought of it' face.
NAME Prince Kanera of Assiraz, Imperial Prince of the Kazinian Empire
WHO IS THIS PERSON Clue is in the title! Kanera is Empress Shizaaqa's second of three sons, and Princess Assili's elder brother
GENDER Male
AGE 17
BRIEF BIO YEAH this is where things get a bit tricky. I'll just go with what I know of the Kazinian royals and shove Kanera in where he needs to go. So yeah. Kanera has grown up as one of Shizaaqa's favoured which has made life pretty much a walk in the park for Kanera. He started army training like all good Kazinian boys with no other life prospects at... I don't know when, I have conflicting information on this. Eight, let's say. And anyway he's been sailing through that on the coat tails of Mummy and his sucky big brother. Due to graduate this year in story terms so he hasn't started rising through the ranks yet like Sahid, but he has (through family connections, again) recently come under the private tutelage of Commander Zakaariss, Assili's attempt at getting him to apply himself more. He's learning more advanced kukri techniques now, but the plan is to get him more into the battle and tactical side of things, too.
CHARACTER Laaazyyyyy. Kanera is good at what he does. He's a good warrior, smart head on his shoulders, but he only ever puts in just as much effort as is needed. He could have graduated early if he'd applied himself, could be shooting towards Commander or even General if he wanted, but Kanera's just happy to cruise through life without putting in the effort. He's flamboyant and incredibly doting on the ladies of his family, which ultimately keeps him in their good graces and so he barely ever gets reprimanded to the extent he really needs to be. But he's young yet. He just needs a kick up the backside to get himself moving (and SH:Gold will provide that for him so yaaaay.)
POINTS OF INTEREST
Very protective of his younger sister Assili. Kanera doesn't believe any man is good enough for her, though he grudgingly accepts the fact that she'll need to produce heirs at some stage. He just doesn't want to think about it.
Kanera has a poison arrow frog tattoo on the back of his right wrist.
Despite his flamboyance, not actually gay.
He and his big brother Sahid often rock up late to Shizaaqa's cocktail hour these days, much to Shizaaqa's disapproval.
Kanera is probably about the only person in Kazin who looks after his little brother, Shoaib. To everyone else he's just a weed, but Kanera supports him. AWW good big brother you can live ♥
