Character 100-ish 099: Queen Asera

Yeah nobody cares who this one is WHO'S NUMBER ONE HUNDRED? God I hope it's someone I know.
Her Colours are supposed to be silk, the rich material of the mountains. Also she likes purple. Shame it doesn't work with the red of her Colours but... are you going to tell her that?
NAME Queen Asera
WHO IS THIS PERSON Current queen of the Kazinian province, Sissillya on the Raykinian border, and Empress Shizaaqa's cousin.
GENDER Female
AGE 36
BRIEF BIO Asera is a born and bred Sissillyan, and is Shizaaqa's relative in Colours only. Since she was a child, Asera was brought up with her mother bitching about Shizaaqa's mother, how the imperial crown stripped them of their taxes and left them nothing, and naturally this attitude carried over to Asera's rule when she took over in her early 20s. She was made queen early and didn't have anyone to learn from. She obtusely blames Shizaaqa and the late Empress Yasina for her own mother's death. Nothing to do with them, but that's how Asera sees things.
As queen, she's been terrible for her people. She continues to blame the imperial crown for the high taxes and wars with Sirrona over the border, and spends virtually nothing on her own province, most notably her army. Her general has been trying to hold her Commanding Circle together, purely so the province doesn't break out into civil war, but after her latest dealings with Raykin (which was the Own mission that had Naraan killed) things have been... tense to say the least.
In the end, the Bouquet got to her anyway and defused the whole situation. And there was much rejoicing. Parties in the streets, feasting and everything.
CHARACTER Self-centred, irresponsible, very quick to temper. Asera is less suited to rule than Shizaaqa, which is saying a lot. In meetings with Nolryn, which is the only time I've ever written her, she's been impossible to deal with, always making excuses and brushing issues aside, but her ulterior motive there was to stall until her black horses got back so she could send them after the Own.
POINTS OF INTEREST
One of her commanders once started making moves on her. Asera had him beheaded. Shizaaqa she is not.
Asera is, to Nolryn's mind, everything that's wrong with Kazin. Sissillya would likely agree.
She's sodding lucky Mithé hates violence and war or she would have had a war on her hands after sending her black horses after the Own.

Cutting off a commanders head for flirting... Not sure if she's a big lesbian or a big asexual... (an asexual kazinian? How rare)
