Character 100-ish 122: Qowen

YEAH LAST (adult) DESERT PERSON I don't have to type this damn story anymore woooooooo.
Not the last boring hood though. There are still two kids to come, they just don't have the same backstory.
NAME Qowen
WHO IS THIS PERSON One of the random desert group I created for the purposes of having a desert group.
GENDER Male
AGE 46
BRIEF BIO Qowen grew up in an already large family group that only continued to grow. He and Laer married at 19, and their first daughter, Weya, was born the next year. They had two more children, Falak and Alir, and as soon as the three kids were old enough to fend for themselves, Laer made the decision to strike out on their own. They were on their own, mostly with Qowen supporting them as he'd always been an excellent hunter, for about six months before they met up with a much diminished group led by Gunai. Qowen convinced Laer that, though they were weakened on their own, if both groups joined they could become much stronger.
So they did! With them, Qowen has been the lead hunter and has trained all the kids to be hunters, too. The group has been growing strongly, with two new additions and, so far, three healthy children.
CHARACTER Qowen is the mediator of the group. He's fond of compromise and is a comparatively weak leader with Laer and Gunai around. He's prefer for two groups to share a waterhole until it dries up, rather than fight another group for control over it. His voice is never strong enough to overrule the other two, though. He believes confrontation is a waste of effort when all energy should be conserved, and he tries to teach this to the younger generation, too.
POINTS OF INTEREST
He makes up for his lack of leadership by being the expert hunter among the group, which was partly the reason for their split from their family group. Laer knew he could support them. He now enjoys passing his knowledge down to the younger members of the group.
