Character 100-ish 128: Leru

Actually typing this up before finishing the picture. I did the sketch on the laptop, at which point it told me I should do a disk scan saying it could take 'several minutes'. Silly me didn't back up straight to Penguin to keep drawing while it was scanning, and 3 hours later it's still going.

WHO IS THIS PERSON One of the random desert group I created for the purpose of having a desert group.

AGE Eight

BRIEF BIO Leru was the first of the next generation of the desert group to be born, and Akleru only joined the group a few months after he was born, so he's missed all the drama of living in a tiny group and joining up with another and meeting new people and all that biz. So Leru's life has been relatively tame so far. Bound to change eventually. He's learning all the manly man tasks around the group, like hunting and carrying heavy things and pitching tents and fighting.

CHARACTER Usually wearing a cheeky grin, Leru loves being with the men rather than the little girls as he likes to think of himself as being a grown-up. He likes being a big manly-man learning how to make bows and fight with spears. He hates having to pack up the tents, but he's slowly learning that doing all the heavy lifting makes him look tough. He can be a little brat, especially when he's testing the women in the group, but they don't let him get away with anything. He doesn't tantrum, but he huffs around and kicks the sand when he's been told off. He knows better than to cry.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Uncle Bihan is Leru's idol.

Leru is always wiping his nose on the back of his hand.

When Leru is concentrating hard, he sticks his tongue out.
