Nol
1:What's your OCs favourite color?
BLUE. Easy answer. It's the colour Raykin uses to symbolise royalty and the archers so he likes blue by association more than by what he thinks of the colour itself. If archers and royalty were red then his favourite colour would be red.

11:What is your OCs spirit animal?
Heeee doesn't really have one; he's never really associated with animals. If I were to equate him to one, though? Probably a wolf? Very pack-oriented, very loyal, willing to fight it out and plan when necessary.

40:What is the craziest thing your OC has done?
So a few months back, on Nimay's first mission as general, the archers decided to have a bit of fun with the blade archers. Because. It's their thing. As they were riding up Ra-Lin shooting down birds for Kurae to cook for dinner, the four of them 'accidentally' shot down more birds than they could rightly use for one meal. Ended up plucking them all and getting a whole bag of feathers. At the next small town, they bought a couple of good big jars of honey. A few days up the Ra-Lin there's a tiny little ghost town they always stop at. So, on the morning they woke up there, two of them climbed onto the roof of the blade archers' abandoned house and, when the said purple shirts woke up, poured honey on them. They were chased all around the ghost town until they were worn out, sticky all over and sweating, then led to another strategic doorway where the other two archers were waiting with the bags of feathers. Nol was one of the two with feathers.
ARCHERS ARE MATURE.
(Nimay was most unimpressed. There have been a lot less archer/blade archer pranks under her than there were under Rau X3)

50:Does your OC cry easily?
Hell no. Raykinians all see crying as a weakness (harkens back to the days of living in the desert where every drop of water is precious and crying is therefore a waste of water. Now it's just part of their social norm, though they still berate it as a waste of water) and Nol's no different. If anything he's even more conscious of it than other Raykinians because he's always, always aware of his position in the public eye. The last time he cried was when he was bitten by a snake as a... six-year-old? I forget how old he was. Small child, anyway. He didn't cry when Naraan died, his best friend/mentor/person ever, nor has he when remembering him. He's cried twice in SH (so far, though I can't foresee any more situations where he might), once because he was completely delirious and sunsick and dehydrated and realised how badly he'd broken Raykin, and then the second time because... he was completely sane and realised how badly he'd broken Raykin. YEP. And he felt stupidly guilty and self-conscious on both occasions.

41:What is your OCs motto about life?
You're royalty; it's always your fault.
Nol first had this lecture at age seven, and of all the lectures that he's had before and since, this is the one that's stuck with him most, though it really only started to stick in his late teens. Before then he'd always ask why it was his fault when someone else had stuffed up. Even when they admitted to stuffing up, Majesty insisted it was his fault, though he never told him why, beyond that line that's stuck with Nol all his life, 'you're royalty; it's always your fault.' It was up to Nol to find the answer himself, because Majesty learned early on that this is how Nol learns best.
So anyway. In his late teens Nol did figure it out, and now it governs his every decision. It's his fault, because at the heart of every problem, royalty has the opportunity to fix it. The people will always eventually blame royalty. The minister might have been the one to stuff up, and admit they did so, but who appointed the minister? His advisers might guide him towards an answer, but who's the one to eventually take action? This was Mithé's way of teaching Nol responsibility, and in the end it's kind of worked too well, because now Nol finds it really hard to delegate, because if they do anything wrong then it's his fault.

Nimay

24:What does your OC smell like?
Dust, sweat, understated smell of steel and horse. After bathing, though, mostly just the prevailing smell of dust. She's not into perfumes or scents. Majesty's given her a couple but she only ever wears them on really special occasions and honestly has no idea what she's picking.

35:How flexible is your OC?
Not knowing exactly what sort of flexible the question's referring to, let's go with both :D Physically, Nimay is hella flexible. She can not only touch her toes but wrap her hands around the soles of her feet. Lotta flippy snapping around flexibility and amazing reflexes. She doesn't have strength going for her like the boys do, so she relies on her flexibility and reflexes to keep her at the top.
Metaphorically, Nimay is VERY stubborn in her mindset. When she gets an idea in her head it'll take a hell of a lot to shake her conviction. She can be swayed with overwhelming evidence and reasoning, but she won't like it and will still believe in her mind that she's right. When it comes to her schedule, though? She's pretty flexible. Planned on a lazy night in and the boys want to go to the pub? Yeah she'll be up for that. Planned on sword training but Nol's dragging her to the archery range? She'll try to use her plans as an excuse but that's only because she hates archery but because she loves Nol she'll interrupt said plans for him. She always has a plan or a schedule, but she doesn't mind it being interrupted.

40:What is the craziest thing your OC has done?
(haha answering these ones twice now) Idk she's not really a... do-crazy-things person? I mean, signing up for the King's Own could be considered a crazy move but she's been working towards that her whole remembered life. Flying is pretty crazy for anyone else but she's frigging got WINGS she'd better use them. Nimay's not particularly spontaneous. She likes to have her goals set up and works towards them. Doing big things without that plan is when things go wrong and, when you're a warrior, when things go wrong they go spectacularly wrong. Probably, then, breaking Nol out of the Imperial Dungeons would be top of the list. Still meticulously planned, out, but it did involve riding a horse through an art gallery, so. That counts?

50:Does your OC cry easily?
Nope! Raykinian to the bone and has grown up with Nol. She's not as bad as Nol, though. She did cry when Naraan died, and later when Rau and finally Mithé died. People dying will do her. She doesn't cry at happy things, though, nor when she's angry.

Yamin

15:What makes your OC angry?
Very little. People don't like pissing Yamin off. They just feel guilty by association. But to answer the question! People not listening. She doesn't at all mind explaining something fifty times to fifty people who've never heard that fact before, but if she explains it--which she does very clearly and of course in writing so they've got no excuse for forgetting--and finds them going directly against her advice/direction? Then she'll start getting peeved. Also, people bringing her tiny problems that she knows they can solve themselves, when she's clearly up to her armpits in work and doesn't have the time to help them. She'll feel guilty later for getting angry at those times, though.

23:What's your OCs biggest secret?
HERSELF. No srsly she's hidden her existence from Nimay for 13 years despite being a pasty white random appearance at the palace on the same day as Nimay and rumoured to have an yrae feather. I DON'T KNOW HOW SHE DID IT. IT'S MY BIGGEST PLOT HOLE.
To those who know her, Yamin doesn't keep secrets. The healers all know her past. None have gone into how she saw her mother killed, but that's less about keeping a secret and more about not wanting to think about it or scar others with the knowledge. They know it happened, that's enough.

36:What turns your OC on?
idk I think she's pretty much asexual, at least for the moment. She's had too much fear in her life to think about any sort of a future after her hrai-dani. Once she's actually allowed out into the world and allowed to be more than a rumour, though, I think she'll go for the strong, quiet type. Not an army man but just someone to hold her and not say anything. Probably a desert man. I can see her having kids but not really getting down for sexy times so much.

Equinox is the first mate on the frigging awesome ship, the Bloodstained Lotus. The ship can travel between worlds so who knows where she is at any given time?

4:Does your OC prefer cash or credit?
Swordpoint. PIRATE. If she were to legitimately buy something, though, cash all the way. She doesn't trust someone else to hang onto her money.

6:Does your OC have any supernatural powers?
Nox is a Wish! So her blood can grant wishes. She cut off her thumb so her amazing fabulous captain could become a pirate lord.

8:What are some of your OCs strengths?
Getting Shit Done and delegating the right people to do the right jobs so things get done to perfection. She's good at spotting the strengths and weaknesses in others, either to exploit or to help the rest of the crew. Yes, even the stupid vampire. He's useful for some things. Sometimes.

Assili

10:What is your OCs favourite outfit?
It changes regularly since she gets bored of any one particular outfit pretty quickly, but there are a couple of staples: she loves her crown and her Family Colours because they remind people she's the crown princess and not to be taken lightly, and more recently a poison arrow frog pin that was a birthday present from her big brother Kanera. She loves that pin.

15:What makes your OC angry?
LOTS OF THINGS but the absolute top of the list is her age, and more specifically the world's perception of it. She hates being talked down to or ignored just because she's young, and she does everything she can to look older than she is so she can force people to take her seriously. Assili loses her temper very easily.

30:What does your OC choose to do about the, er, hair down there?
She's only 12 and has no reason to think about that as yet, but doubtless she'll have it waxed once she's discovered such treatments. Assili doesn't like hairy (unless it's Zakaariss. He's the exception that proves the rule).

35:How flexible is your OC?
Nnnnnnnot at all. All she does all day is sit and do a bit of walking through the garden. She's still young and therefore more flexible than me, but that won't last long.

45:Does your OC like reading?
Yep! Assili has a love for stories in any form, but there's not enough variation or originality in them for her liking right now. She'll probably be the start of a storytelling revolution as people try to impress their empress with new and exciting stories and then she'll LOVE reading.

Raykin's pizza-equivalent is a coconut milk-based stew that you dip flatbread. The stew can literally have anything in it, but traditionally there's always egg and usually chicken because every Raykinian family worth its salt has a chicken or two, and often but not always fruit. Kal likes his pretty simple with the said chicken and eggs (boiled first then chopped up and thrown in at the end), tomato, capsicum and prickly pear. And lots of salt. Any deviation from this is Wrong, in Kal's book.

42:Does your OC drink coffee or tea?
Hell no. He drinks beer. He may own the most successful pub in Raykin (may) but Kal is nowhere near cultured enough for foreign beverages.

Princess Zhizaa

7:Is your OC in a relationship?
Okay I'm just going to answer all these as if the kids are in their 30s and have Made It. So. Zhizaa? Complete cougar. I can see her with a little army toyboy who's like a decade younger than she is. But no penis because that means babies and HAH Zhizaa as a mother.

14:Does your OC have a cell phone snazzy mode of transportation? If so, what kind?
Horse, obviously, because she's Kazinian. Some big strong bastard stallion that only she can ride. Technically she's not part of the Kazinian army, despite doing all the training and tactics and even actual battles and everything, so her horse is a pale grey for civilians, but like her this one's been trained for war. It would've been sent to Raykin for the King's Own but Zhizaa got her hands on it first. She's therefore named it Dustbowl.

21:Who is your OCs best friend?
HELL KNOWS there are only like half a dozen people of that generation in existence. One of the army leaders, anyway. Zhizaa lives and breathes war so she doesn't really associate with anyone who isn't. She doesn't look down on them or anything, she just doesn't think she'll be taken seriously as a warrior if she takes interest in other things. Failing that, the iguana.

28:Does your OC like anime Kazinian plays? (shuddup it's the closest they've got)
Eh, occasionally, if there are any good battle scenes. Given that most plays that come to the palace are tailor made for Empress Assili, though, not too many have any interest for Zhizaa.

35:How flexible is your OC?
Like Nimay, Zhizaa gets by on her flexibility and quick reflexes in battle since she can't rely on strength as much as the dudes can. Woman is built but still no woman's going to match up to the average male warrior. Also she's not as amazing as Nimay, since Zhizaa focusses more on tactics and such than physical battling. She'd still have a reasonably dark horse if she was in the army, though.

42:Does your OC drink coffee or tea?
Both, depending on the time of day, and also cocoa. For all three, the milkier the better, and often with a shot of liquor in the coffee or cocoa and craploads of sugar in all of them. Oh, Kazin.

Kazin. Assili's not going anywhere when she's due to give birth.

1:What's your OCs favourite colour?
Combinations of green, orange and gold. He still treats them as though they're his Family Colours even though technically he doesn't inherit any. Gold's his top favourite, though.

Shetland pony. The grumpy little bitch of the equine kingdom, wishing so hard it can be as big and pretty as all the big pretty horses but just remaining a grumpy little bitch.

21:Who is your OCs best friend?
K so Misbah tries to make friends with all his cousins, especially those who out-rank him, and especially Anakarina who is next in line to the throne. He wants power and figures that, without the right level in the bloodline, being friends with the ones who do is the best he'll get. He reckons he's best friends with all of them. In reality, they can all see through him and smile awkwardly while they wait for him to go away.

31:Does your OC believe in fairies?
Hmmmmm not sure he'd go that far. Llayans are all generally pretty open to magic, especially by Misbah's time post-SH, but they're more into animals and magical objects than humanoid magic people-like things. Misbah's too much of a sceptic to believe in any of the ones that nobody's actually seen, only heard rumours of people who know people who've seen them.

Fake it til you make it. He's going to be faking it his whoooole life.

Singing, especially from northern Llayad where they're influenced by Kazinian singing but still Llayan enough that they don't sound completely foreign (to him Kazinian singing just sounds like wailing, but when it crosses the border it gets a tune to it). He also likes Kazinian gamelans.

59:What is the first thing that someone would notice about your OC?
How frigging Kazinian he looks for someone who dresses, talks and acts so Llayan. Serious clash of cultures in his look, so far as Tsyllaes is concerned.

Dark greeeeen.

52:How does your OC feel about insects?
LOVES the pretty ones like butterflies and iridescent beetles, irritated by all the other ones. Shai is a mozzie magnet so she's always swatting at them. She's secretly terrified of the poisonous ones but never lets on because she's going to be the goddamed empress, she can't be seen to be scared of spiders. She'll flick them away if they get too close and order a servant to kill and dispose of them.

53:What is your OCs sexual orientation?
Bi! She picked that up from her trip through Llayad, and less so Raykin, as a small child. She liked how open and accepting Llayans were of everyone, and grew up thinking there should be no difference between the genders, in terms of sexual attraction. And, being as Kazin has no concept of marriage, nobody'll have anything against her taking a man and a woman for partners, one for making babies and the other for... not making babies :D

54:Does your OC smoke?
Nope. I've outlawed smoking in Tsyllaes.

57:Would you call your OC adventurous?
For a Kazinian royal? Yes. She loves going places and getting out of the palace, which no crown princess/empress has had any interest in for generations. Even though her trips are incredibly tame compared to my main bunch with the Own, complete with makeup and baked goods, she DOES like to get out there and see the world.

59:What is the first thing that someone would notice about your OC?
'Holy shit it's the crown princess QUICK BOW OR SHE'LL CUT YOUR HEAD OFF.'
Probably also her fashion sense. She likes to take foreign concepts and turn them Kazinian in some way, like Raykin's asymmetrical designs only done in floaty gauze, or Llayan corsetry but with only the boob bit.

9:What are some of your OCs weaknesses?
He's male. That's about it. If he was a lady with the same characteristics he'd go far. It frustrates the shit out of him. As it is, though, he can't keep a girl. He's an intimidating figure and Kazinian women aren't used to being intimidated, so he scares them off. Also he's going to invent things that blow up and blow his hand off. So. There's that!

19:Does your OC prefer plaid or polka dots?
I get the feeling he'd be repulsed by both. Plaid in tropical Kazin is just stupid, it'd be itchy and sweaty and horrible, not to mention the dull patterns not being very Kazin at all. Polka dots would be way too fun for him, but if he had to pick one it'd probably be the dots purely because more colour is involved.

29:Can your OC swim?
Trying to think of an occasion where a Kazinian prince would NEED to swim and failing. So. No.

38:Does your OC have any pets?
Not this one. Just about everyone else in the family does, though! Dahkir sees them as a hastle and a chore. He's a sodding prince he shouldn't have to look after a useless animal.

2:Where does your OC work?
EVERYWHERE and yet nowhere. Keldian has done everything from fashion designer to politics to Kazinian army lad to professional woo-er of Raykinian and Tsaythi royalty. He's failed at all of them.

4:Does your OC prefer paper or plastic cash or barter?
Cash. As a member of the Llayan royal family, Keldian knows his responsibility to spend the people's taxes back on the people, and to try to cheat them out of that by offering goods that they already made is greatly dishonourable.
(Side note: other people are allowed to barter tomatoes for carrots or whatever, just the lords and ladies and royalty look mighty cheap if they try and trade an old piece of jewellery.)

Nup. Easy answer :D

Looking fabulous and giving tips to others on how to do so themselves. Eventually he'll realise his calling and he'll be a make-up artist.

Formal, as much as Raykin gets. Tbh I'm not entirely certain what formal entails in Raykin. Three-quarter length pants and an asymmetrical top that sort of works like tails coming down to the knees but no sleeves.

Losing. Kaen is a very sore loser. He'll seethe and make snide remarks at every opportunity until he gets home and can take out his anger on his stunner of a wife. It's a good thing he doesn't lose too often.

Erm. Whatever the rest of Raykin wears. Laced breeches I guess?

LIKE A MAN. And also whatever expensive man-scent he last picked up in Kazin. He likes the cinnamon-based ones.

Tits and arse. Mostly tits. Yep, simple one to please, this one.

Oh geeze. Kaen's the oldest blade archer I've invented. There've probably been one or two blade archer generals of the King's Own (mostly that job falls to a swordie) so he'd revere them quite highly.

Oh god Kaen is one of the WORST in the Own at sitting still. He gets stir crazy so easily. He'd never have the patience to read anything longer than a menu.

47:Does your OC tolerate violence?
(lol) He says he doesn't but really he just doesn't tolerate violence that's not caused by himself. Going to war, eh, that's a thing, someone has to do it, may as well be someone good at it. Beating people up in the streets? He'll be the one to gallantly go in and rescue the victim, because he likes to look good and rub the noses of the losers in it. Domestic violence? Well, he doesn't see his situation that way. Mali does something wrong so he punishes her for it like a naughty cat that you smack for weeing in the kitchen.

Holy shit it's Kaen omg does my hair look okay?
Kaen's the undisputed pretty-boy-who-isn't-royalty of the Own. Dark smouldering eyes, smoooooth as silk smile... yeah he'll make you notice whatever he wants you to notice.
