Covers

Cassie reminded me a few days ago that I hadn't made any covers for the Pwn fic, and I've never actually made one for SH either, despite having worked on the damn thing for almost three years. Also noticed that the old covers for Desert Sapphire and Blade Archer were a bit, shall we say, crap, so I've remade those ones as well.

Number one, Silent Harmony. Pretty bloody easy to think of something to put there. Ideally I'd like one of their silver bangles there, but I don't actually own anything that looks even remotely like their silver bangles, so magpie-y feathers it is. Had to shape the feathers a bit, cos the ends of them were in fact square oO So I attacked them with a pair of scissors. That was fun.

Desert Sapphire, otherwise known as Raqif's story. Bit of a crappy feather, but alas, it's the only blue one I've got. When I next find myself in Spotlight I'm so getting a better one and redoing this. Colour manipulated the hell out of it, because it's neon blue in reality, not quite yrae-like. Now it just looks digitally edited. Go me. (Here's the first edition. Couldn't be screwed doing a blurb or a spine on the later ones, 'specially since that's what I screwed up on with this one XD; The spine's upside down, and there's a typo in the blurb. Go me.)

Blade Archer, the as yet unfinished story from NaNoWriMo 2004. I'll finish that sooner or later. You may notice that the sand is considerably redder than all the others. I'd like to say that's because the sun was brighter that day, but that'd be lying. It was either that or the tomato sauce would actually look like tomato sauce. Dunno if you've really noticed this, but tomato sauce isn't the most threatening of substances. (First edition. Picture's unchanged, just fiddled with the text so it'd match all the others.)

Finally, The Riders of the King's Own, which gave me the most problems. First of all, we don't really have anything remotely Kazinian in our house that would fit on the tupperware lid I'd poured my sand onto. No little carved horses à la what the archers bought (and subsequently lost) for the healers, nothing horsey in the slightest, actually. Eventually decided on my little carved stone froggy from Bali, so I'm going to have to throw that into the fic when I get around to editing it so it actually has some bearing on the thing. Text was also being a bit of a bastard in Photoshop, since it's got more than two words. Works well enough like that tho.

The novel(la) contingent of the Yrae Chronicles =D Course, only two of those stories are actually finished, but whatever. Blade Archer stands out so much XD;
