Another boy without an intro minific. C'mon, I've barely started on the things .-.

Third of the archers (cos remember I did Nol much earlier this year), Garuk, she shy one. He doesn't like publicity at all, and during the parade where the Own leaves or arrives home from a mission, he and Gylepi tend to huddle in the middle and mumble inaudibly about the fuss that's made of them all 9.9 They're just doing their job; why is such a big deal made out of it? 9.9

He's the veteran of the archers, despite being four years younger than Murali, but Murali only got in when he was 30--Garuk got in at 23, which made him the youngest Own rider in history until Melraan rocked up, and then of course Nol and 'may make them all look like old farts, but hey, Garuk had his glory. He's still the best archer in the kingdom too, since Naraan died, so we choose no to 'correct' his technique of not actually sighting along the arrow when he shoots. Anyone who tries gets told quite firmly, that aiming like that will clearly get them nowhere in life X3 He also has blue feathered arrows, which I decided as of, what, two months ago? Just to be different from the standard red X3

The big~ scar down his back was from one of the more recent missions, during the battle that got General Rau killed. Just about lost Garuk too--seriously bloody sharp dagger with one hell of a lot of force that did that, to be able to cut through Nira hide armour. It cut down to his bone. Yeah. OW. But he lived! And Raykin didn't lose its best archer again, yay. Most of his other scars are just arrow wounds tho, cos the archers can't really knock them away like everyone else with blades can, and they tend to knock anyone off before they get a chance to attack with a sword anyway. Just that one mission where they were all thinking "OMFG WE'RE GOING TO DIE."

No, apparently I can't spell Ni-Qewira. Shuddup and look at the other wirds I can spell >> I suck at foreshortening too. And his shoulder strap doesn't actually join up with the top of his quiver. Sorry Garuk. You look all right apart from that =D;;;

But yay, approval from the Sallie =3 HIS FACE LOOKS LIKE GARUK. I'm so happy, cos I swear I didn't know how the hell to draw him at the start. I did the wrinkles in his shirt and designs on his bow, still with just a circle for the head, then kinda stared for a moment going "...now what? oO" But he looks like him, so yay =D And his hair's always been something of a mop X3

Big scars are fun =3 Prolly not for them, but for writer/drawer, certainly X3
