Notes~ Genesis 120. Still working on the lesser-developped but still important charries. This is Empress Shizaaqa of Kazin, but the damn letter took up so much word count that I didn't get to write as much of her as I'd have liked. Meh, she'll get more fics.

Shizaaqa heard the door to her throne room click shut as she disappeared into her office next door, confident she would not be disturbed for the next hour or so. She sifted through the handful of envelopes as she kicked off her sandals and settled down on her lounge.
Three bore the seals of sections of her own palace, so probably not half as important as they made them out to be. Another five were letters from queens around her empire who were still loyal to her. Loyal enough to ask for more funds, at any rate.
But it was the envelope sealed closed with the stamp of a flannel flower that most interested her. She set the other envelopes on the polished oak table beside her and curled up on the lounge, breaking the seal and delicately sliding the letter out. A papery, dried flannel flower fell out with the note.
Dearest Frangipanni,
My heart shall forever remain incomplete while we remain separated as we are.
Why must we both fall prey to such innavigable distances, when we could but live by one another’s side? My soul is always deeply moved whenever I am around you. Alas, my sweet, I travel to Silrona City on the morrow, foul wasteland that it is. My thoughts will remain in Sinazi City for ever, and the magnificent time we spent there on the beach, with the scent of frangipanni in my mind even now.
My heart is so very heavy at the prospect of still more months without you. Oh, would that I could escort my lady fair to the beach, just once more, but I fear it may not be possible for so very, very long. I know I must spend three months in Silrona, maybe more, and I cannot know if I shall be able to see you in Assiraz after my work there is complete. These mountain days are so black and miserable without you by my side. I seek to buy a horse in Silrona, so that I might ride to Assiraz all the quicker.
I have tried twice to suggest to my boss that I might transfer to Assiraz, but here I remain. I can not move without abandoning you first, and I could never do that. And so, here I remain, until I have earned enough that I can start my own trade in Assiraz. That goal has never seemed further away than it is now! When will my boss finally notice my worth and send me instead to the capital, so that I might spend time with my delicate frangipanni once again?

Shizaaqa raised amused eyebrows at the letter, curling a lock of hair around one finger.
‘You’re beginning to sound almost Llayan, my girl,’ she murmured to no-one, then began reading the letter more thoroughly.
Shizaaqa’s upper lip curled in anger. She held the letter to the candle flame and dropped it on the stone floor.
Now you've finished reading~ here's a tip. Take the sixth word from every sentence. Oh yes >D Had you there for a minute, didn't I >D
