Yet another swordie of the Own, it's Ulkar~ the country bumpkin =3 Despite having the physique of a modern day rugby player, he's a lovely boi =3 He grew up in a ti~ny little town, a few weeks upstream from Ni-Yana. He moved downstream to sign up for army training when he was 15, so technically he's spent most of his life in the big smoke now, but he's still very much a country boy. He's fiercely proud of his little tinpot hometown, and gets excited every time a mission is announced because it means he gets to go home, if only for half a day at most.

His wife, Lolana, he met during army training since they were parentered up together. She's actually a sli~ghtly better swordie than Ulkar is, but various things stopped her from taking the Own challenge herself--first of all, she didn't want to deal with anymore crap about being mostly desert, like Gylepi who had just been accepted, and then~ kiddies came along, and obviously they wouldn't be happy if Mummy and Daddy both disappeared for half the year, so she stays home. If Ulkar resigned, she'd probably take up the challenge and they'd switch roles, but that's not really a factor in why Ulkar stays with the Own. He likes having fun with the guys, especially on the Raykinian legs of their journey X3

Ulkar is the eternal optimist. He can see the silver lining in literally any situation, and as a result, when something does go drastically wrong--like General Rau's death--it hits him hard. He's still a bit naive in a lot of things about the city too, and refuses to believe the Southern Districts are as bad as they're made out to be, despite Rumal's insistance that in some places, it's actually worse.

He's not an idiot though. He can see the good in anyone, but if a Kazinian is hurtling towards him on horseback with sword brandished, he knows it's him or the Kazinian.

Also, as mentioned, his wife is three quarters desert, meaning she's veeery tall for a woman. Ulkar, as you can see, is a serious shortarse. Even Murali and Yoryl are taller than poor iccle Ulkar X3 Seeing him and Lolana standing next to each other is far more amusing than it should be XD; Poor country boi XD *pats him*

Heh heh, one of my gigantic cousins married a short (lovely) guy, and at the wedding when the priest said 'You may now kiss the bride' she had to bend at the knees and everyone laughed XD Er, in a nice way though ...

He's always so sweet and chirpy. I love the sweet and chirpy ones. ^_^

Everyone's taller than Ulkar XDDD BURN~ >3 He gets teased alllll the time, especially by Lolana, but he takes it fine, of course XD I love Ulkar *^^*
