Feeling way too damn good, still very much Emon's song
Pessimist, introductory minific
Despite being the second-best blade in the kingdom, Emon is a complete pessimist. He just about makes bad things happen to himself, just because he expects it to, and he doesn't try to stop it from happening. He is a lovely boy, good cook, generous, willing to help out even if it's not in his area of expertise... but the pessimism does~ start grating after a while. The number of times he's been smacked by the other guys to try and knock some happy into him, he should have a permanant bruise on the back of his head now XD;
He actually missed out on his first chance to get in the Own, even though by that stage he was probably good enough to beat two or three of them. His problem was that when he got to the stage that he thought he could beat them, he started thinking, 'No I can't. I'm not good enough for this. This guy has been on countless missions. He's had the experience of real battle. I've only ever seen the barracks. I'm not good enough for this,' and~ down he went. He managed to beat that back the next time though. Obviously. Otherwise he wouldn't be there now.
He's also had notoriously bad luck with the ladies. His wife died after three years of marriage, and it's gone downhill from there. Various girlfriends keep leaving basically because of his pessimism. One left when he failed to get into the Own, and another left when he succeeded. He's too much of a workaholic, and spends far more time at the barracks training than he spends with his girlfriend at the time. He knows he's doing it, but every time he thinks of confronting the problem, he thinks nooooo too scary, and escapes to the barracks. He's an incredibly frustruating character like that ><
Right now~ he's got a girlfriend in Ni-Mytaa who, in the storyline, he's still convincing to move to Ni-Yana with him. However, Orylia's as tied to her job as Emon is to his, so he doesn't really push too hard. Earlier this year tho, he managed to get her over to Ni-Yana, so yay for him =D All the swordies are making sure he doesn't let this one get away like all the others XD The swordies are cliquey yasee X3
Also~ you'll notice he's missing a finger. He lost that during the battle where Rau died. Lifted his hand up on instinct to block an arrow. Silly boi.
His sword is based off a poisonous dragonfly which I've yet to design properly, but there you go. And if you're wondering why its pommel is slightly bent in his hand... that's because Emon broke it >>;;
