Kazinian Army Uniform

After quite~ some time, Kazin actually has an army uniform. I've been stalling on this for AGES for various reasons: lack of any Kazinian army people, the sheer detail of all things Kazinian, and the fact that there's a different uniform for each province. Now that there are four army guys floating around, and one former army girl who shouldn't really have been there but was, AND I'm in a designing mood lately, and in the mood for detail, well. Easy as X3

Here's Sahid modelling the said uniform, in the absence of any normal people to wear the thing, so his is a bit blingier than everyone else in the entire empire. Everyone else just gets polished steel stuff, but royalty gets GOLD PLATED cos they're special. And rich. But mostly special.

The leaf-mail idea I stole shamelessly from David Eddings, only his has actual leaf-shaped leaves. This sort of semi-circle pattern is already very Kazinian, so I thought turning it into the armour part of their uniform fitted perfectly :D Since they don't have any nira hide for awesome flexible protection, this is the next best thing. It's also shinier and blingier.

The tunicy thing over top of it all serves two purposes: covers up the leaf mail so their bowstrings don't get caught on it when firing, and two, it covers up the leaf mail so I don't have to draw half as much of it. There was going to be a pattern on it (like a giant fern frond or a dragon silhouette or something), different for each province, but there's already enough detail on the uniform that I didn't want to overdo it. Instead, it just changes colour, along with the shirt underneath and the pants. See table for details :D

The boots were fun. Nothing else to say on them.

The crown and gold arm band aren't part of the uniform, they're just Sahid's royal bling.

Feathers differ from region to region, though they try and go for green ones. Being in the tropics where birds are BRIGHT, Assiraz gets insanely bright green feathers on their fletching. I imagine they breed green birds especially for their army.

They probably have, like, five bows each for different purposes. Kazin's army is technically a lot more sophisticated than Raykin's, just a pity they can't get the organisation aspect together.

Um... oh yeah, family Colours may or may not be worn in training, depending on whether family pride wins over practicality for the army guy in question. Sahid normally would, but the purpose of this is to show off the uniform, so throwing his Colours over the top wouldn't work. When they're actually going off to battle, they'd definitely wear their Colours--they're going off to die for the province, or even their empire. Very, very proud people, the Kazinians.

AND STUFF. Clean version of this, without the table and writing, will go up on h_bee in a sec o/

Just one colour, yus. The mottled look was going to be far too hard to shade :< Look at me thinking about practicality :D
