Not a NaNo 01: Princess Anakarina

Instead of NaNoWriMo this year, I'm doing a character profile a day. Specifically I'm looking at the undeveloped characters, those who have a name and next to nothing else. Starting on the fourth of November cos I'm cool like that. Characters chosen almost completely at random, unless I pull one out of the box who relates back to someone I haven't done yet, like the significant other of one of the Llayan princesses or something.
Kids are REALLY HARD. This challenge is going to be torture because half the list is kids >>
NAME Princess Anakarina Wensleydale of Llayad
WHO IS THIS PERSON Anakarina is second in line to the Llayan throne, after her mother, Evelandel
GENDER Female
AGE Eight
BRIEF BIO As a young Llayan princess, very little has happened in little Anakarina's life. She has pretty intensive schooling, from her mother and father as much as from any profession teachers, which began shortly after her fourth birthday. She loves these lessons and loves learning about the outside world, especially since she gets to see so many foreigners coming to court to visit her parents and grandparents. She spends most of her time with her parents or with her lovely aunts and uncles, since Llayad values family above all else. She's open to talk to anyone and everyone about their 'adventures' in the outside world. She was due for her own royal meet-and-greet after her eighth birthday, but then stuff started going down with the royals she was supposed to be meeting so that's been postponed, sadly. Anakarina is most put-out by this.
CHARACTER Anakarina is a very inquisitive, bright little girl, and in complete contrast to every other royal kid I've ever had, she's not a brat! She's a mature little eight-year-old, though she does have a bit of a cheeky streak which mostly manifests in asking people questions that only an eight-year-old could get away with. Evelandel's trying to get her to pull back on this a bit, but not too much because asking questions is a good trait in a monarch.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Lynnlita is her favourite auntie, because she loves talking about her visits to Raykin. She has a distant crush on Nolryn because of Auntie Lynnlita's influence, despite never having met him.
Ever since she learned how to read by herself, Anakarina has latched onto every book and every story she has been given.
My tradition with the Llayan royalty is to name them after my loves. Anna-Karina is the nickname ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
drazzi's mum gave to me when I was over there. So technically she's named after me, but more after Sallie's mum's nickname X3
