Not a NaNo 02: Alias Banksia

This year's NaNo is to develop all those characters who haven't been developed. Yay for them! Characters all picked out at random.
Reference picture for this chick was a woman with one boob cut off. Will that come into play in her bio? WHO KNOWS I haven't written it yet, let's see.
NAME Askal, alias 'Banksia'
WHO IS THIS PERSON One of the current members of Shizaaqa's Bouquet (her assassin squad), the Sissillyan connection
GENDER Female
AGE 35
BRIEF BIO She's an assassin so it's a complete MYSTERYYYYYYYyyyyy no I'm not going to be that cruel, don't worry. Askal was not one from a tragic past, as evidenced by bright freaking blue Family Colours which can only be high-class, making her originally from the tropics somewhere since there's not much in the way of high-class in the mountains. She had an easy childhood as the daughter of, idk a government worker or something. Grew up and took on a job in the tax department, where she found a man who seemed rather too bright for a man. She liked that, and so shacked up with him. And had kids! I dunno how many, irrelevant, they're dead now. Yeah~ turns out her man who was too bright for his own good found out something in the tax department that he shouldn't have known about, and got killed for the knowledge. Along with their kids. Askal escaped becaaaauuuse I dunno. Plot hole. Shuddup I'm making this up as I go along.
So, being the good little government employee she was, Askal went through all the proper channels to report this massacre of her family. Unsurprisingly, it wasn't long before she, too, found the same corruption that had gotten her not-husband killed. So very calmly, very efficiently, she knocked off everyone associated with it. Along the way, she met another smart man and shacked up with him, but refused to have any kids until they had eliminated all the evil in the government. He agreed, so they teamed up and went on their romantic killing spree together.
This went on for about a decade until, one night, he was caught. Askal got away, went to save him, only to find he had already been killed. In this moment of weakness, she was caught as well, but at that point Shizaaqa intervened and hauled her murdering arse to Assiraz. Shizaaqa made her a legit part of her Bouquet, gave her the alias Banksia, and she's been in that gig for three years now.
And then SH:Tarnish happened yaaaaay. Within the Bouquet as they've now met, Banksia is the second in command. Well, third really, since Yan has the unseen top job, but he's never there so whatever man.
CHARACTER Banksia is wary of letting people get close to her, and prefers to keep herself in the professional relationship category. The Bouquet are business partners, as far as she's concerned, and nothing more. She's not a cold bitch, she just doesn't like to open up, and she finds it hard to smile these days. She's intensely analytical, very sharp, quick thinking. She can change plans on the fly and still have them work out for her.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Purely because I don't know how well-known Australian flowers are outside Australia, this is a banksia, as is this.
I imagine she has a keepsake from her kids that she keeps with her all the time. A little teddy or something.

I fucking love this whole... Kazinian thing where men are muscle and wtf why do you seem to have a brain? and such XD (Also. Like. Zakky is a too bright man. Now I will ship them. FOR NO REASON.)
I kinda love how Shiz gets these girls who are you know... killers and prolly out for HER neck and thinks she can keep them quiet and under her thumb. Psh. Particularly with this one's backstory, you kind of wonder how she thought that would work.

She's not above knocking them off or dungeoning them if they're not pulling their weight, and figures that's enough to keep them doing what she tells them.
