Character 100-ish 037: Prince Kristofino
Feb. 20th, 2014 10:09 pmI seem to keep picking people who don't exist. I'm sure I'll get done with them at some stage.

Funny story: Kristofino started out as a lady (I flip a coin on these characters who don't exist to decide what gender to give them), but then her nose and jaw kinda looked a bit mannish. So he's a he now.
NAME Prince Kristofino
WHO IS THIS PERSON Future youngest/fourth child of Princess Lynnlita of Llayad and Prince Kanera of Kazin
GENDER Male, and prefers to be addressed as such.
AGE Doesn't exist yet and won't for a while yet.
BRIEF BIO Kristofino is far enough down the line of succession that he doesn't even like to be called Prince or Highness. Instead, Kristofino decided to be a stage writer. He started out writing short stories meant just to be read, and making his own little plays with toys and puppets, when his darling mother suggested that he combine the two. She took him to any number of plays on at the palace, and to others in town, and he quickly decided that was what he wanted to do in life.
Kristofino joined his first player group in his late teens, but found himself treated more preciously than he would have liked. He just wanted to be one of them, not special in any way just because he was the youngest child of the youngest child in line to the throne. He did love the travelling life though, and looked for another player group after a few years. This new one he didn't reveal his status to until he was well-entrenched in his role as writer. He revealed it by writing an autobiographical play, cos he's like that. A few didn't believe him, a few were a bit peeved that he'd lied, but in the end, they all knew him for who he was and understood from the said play why he had kept his status hidden. Then they insisted he play himself in the performance, so for that play's brief tenure, he was an actor as well. Strangely got stage fright for the first performance or two, but then decided he quite liked it.
The group has also played in Kazin, in front of Kristofino's auntie Assili, so basically his life has been pretty awesome. Good on 'im.
CHARACTER Kristofino has inherited his father's flamboyance, which is somehow both toned down by Llayan conservatism and livened up by their openness. Aww yeah Llayad. He loves to perform, but more spontaneously than rehearsed--his writing is bearing his soul, while his easy grin and wide gestures hide it. Not that he feels he has anything to hide, he just doesn't like feeling vulnerable. Kristofino finds it hard to take anything seriously.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Kristofino dresses as much in pants as he does in dresses. It was seeing the fabulous costumes of the players as a kiddie, even more than his mother's own wardrobe, that made him want to wear spangly, frilly stuff like them.
Asexual, feels very uncomfortable whenever sex is a topic of conversation, feels it's very unlikely he'll ever marry.
