Character 100-ish 048: Commander Reksha

I'm beginning to think I won't have these done by the end of the year. Oh well.
I think he's broken his nose once or twice.
NAME Commander Reksha
WHO IS THIS PERSON One of the current commanders in the Assiraz army in Kazin.
GENDER Male
AGE Idk, looks mid-40s, let's say he's 46
BRIEF BIO Even as a kid, Reksha was a bully. He was the leader of his little gang of bullies and they went around beating up other kids until his parents got fed up with him and sent him to army training at... whatever age it is Kazinians start army training. I think it's twelve. Anyway, they hoped the military discipline would do him good where they couldn't tame him.
For the most part, it worked. He certainly learned to respect his ranking officers, and his elders in general. He stopped bullying the local kids, but more because they provided no challenge than from any sense of honour or compassion. Instead he started tormenting the younger army trainees. As soon as word of this made it to his training captain, and later his sergeant, they took him aside and said kid, you can go far. Because Kazin.
So after that talk, Reksha had his mind set on command in the army and not just beating other kids up. He became fascinated by all the old war stories and tactics and war speeches and ancient generals. Once he'd completed training he began to slowly climb the ranks--slowly because he was still a bully and anyone in a position to promote him was reluctant to do so, scared he'd start bullying them, too. Which he did. He's served plenty of time in the field, hence the broken nose, both as a footsoldier and commanding officer, and hasn't yet lost a battle he's led.
Finally, by age 42, Reksha was promoted into Shizaaqa's Commanding Circle. General Misbah, being even more of a cold hard bastard than Reksha, has put a pretty solid roadblock in Reksha's way. Reksha still has ambitions of becoming General, though, as does everyone in the Circle.
CHARACTER Still a hard bastard. Constantly tense and ready for a fight, even more since he was promoted to the Commanding Circle and rarely sees any field action anymore. Fiercely loyal to his empress, he does his best to suck up to her successor but frankly he hasn't got a snowball's. Imagine that face trying to smile pleasantly at a small girl. Shudder.

Also he was the first to cark it when the Bouquet took over the Assiraz palace in Tarnish. So. Sucked in Reksha.
