THIS IS WHY SIX OF THE LAST EIGHT APPARENTLY RANDOM NAMES HAVE BEEN DESERT PEOPLE.
Deliberately saved the ref I used for Lin and mirrored it because that's how I draw the goddesses. Also I tried FOUR TIMES to get her sand-hair looking right and it kept looking either like hair or like a mess. This I think works, though, if not looking entirely like pencil anymore. WHATEVER dust cloud hair.
NAME Aeia
WHO IS THIS PERSON Raykinian goddess of the desert and death
GENDER Female
AGE Ageless freaking GOD.
BRIEF BIO Same creation myth as Lin! Aeia created the world out of desert, then her weaker sister Lin stuffed it up by splashing water all over the place and spreading life here there and everywhere. Aeia evened out the balance by also creating death, either out of spite or jealousy or because the living were suffering too much from not enough stuff for them all and she wanted to end the said suffering. It depends who you talk to and when you talk to them as to why they think Aeia created death.
CHARACTER Like Lin, Aeia has no defined character, and hence no eyes or mouth with which to make facial expressions. She might be comforting after the death of a grandparent, terrifying after an horrific accident, or spiteful and uncaring after taking the life of someone who's fought so hard to keep it.
POINTS OF INTEREST
SHE'S NOT NAKED for some reason. Aeia wears a sarong around her waist.
Aeia also means Death in Raykinian; Aei means desert.
The Llayans also believe in Aeia, but they only (ostensibly) believe in her as the goddess of the desert, not of death. Those who live in or close to the desert superstitiously think maybe the Raykinians have it right, though.
