Character 100-ish 076: Lady Kelora
Jun. 20th, 2014 10:17 pmStart of my predicted healer glut? We shall see.

Aww cutie! She cuts her hair herself, hence the crooked fringe.
NAME Lady Kelora
WHO IS THIS PERSON One of the healers in the palace healing house in Ni-Yana
GENDER Female
AGE 28
BRIEF BIO Kelora was born and raised waaaaay south of the Main Road to a Raykinian mother and Kazinian father. Her parents never married, as per Kazinian custom, which Kelora still thinks is completely ridiculous because they're soinlove and are clearly never splitting up but whatever, Papa has his traditions. So anyway. Despite being a southerner to the roots, Kelora has no scars on the back of her wrist at all. She made her way as a pickpocket and never once got caught. She got spotted only once, and was able to outrun her pursuers before they got a good look at her. She's got very light little fingers.
When Kelora was fourteen, her younger brother was stung by a scorpion for which the healers had no cure, and he died. For months afterwards Kelora was constantly either angry or silent and lost, staying out all night, sometimes just to sit by the river and stare at the reflection of the stars, sometimes to get drunk, whatever. She lost her way, until her mother smacked her around a bit and told her to get off her arse and do something with her life. Take out her anger on the scorpions, she said. Stop other people from dying of them.
So at fifteen, Kelora started training at the closest healing house. Over the years she's worked her way up through bigger and better-run healing houses until she was accepted into the palace healing house at 25. She met the man who would become her husband at one of these healing houses--he was another healer because I've recently decided there's nothing stopping dudes being healers, too--and they married when Kelora was 21 and moved into their own house just north of the Main Road.
She still hasn't found her antivenin for the damn scorpion, but she hasn't given up yet. She's also still a pickpocket, purely out of habit now rather than need.
CHARACTER Loud and with an infectious personality and an infectious laugh. It's hard to dislike the girl, even knowing she nicks stuff, and sometimes gives it back just as subtly. Kelora knows she has innocent looks and plays them up whenever she thinks she might be in trouble. She's still hates scorpions and jumps violently on any scorpion she sees. She's got a bit of a fiery temper, when it comes out, and she gets particularly frustrated and angry because nobody takes her anger seriously--it's that cute pixie face working against her.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Tiny slip of a girl, near enough flat-chested with a cute little pixie face that nobody takes seriously, neither when she's angry nor if they find out she's a pickpocket.
If the healing house is too quiet, Kelora will be the one to yell 'BOOBIES!' just to wake everyone up again.
Kelora has a crush on the entire King's Own and isn't at all ashamed to show it. She'll run up to any who come into the healing house and give them a big kiss on the cheek, Nimay included. Nimay is probably the reason she ties her hair in ribbons as she does.

Aww cutie! She cuts her hair herself, hence the crooked fringe.
