Notes~ 15 minute fic, word 66. I have writer's block~ and this was a vague attempt to get rid of it. Given that it is a) only 262 words long, and b) complete and utter shite, I can safely say it didn't work. Meh, whatever.

She always loved the feeling of the wind in her hair. Sometimes it felt cool against her skin, sometimes it had the intensity of a raging inferno. Either way, Nimay was happy. She grinned as she stood up in her stirrups, urging Ashburn faster along the Ra-Lin.
The wind was cool today, whipping at her rich, black hair, bound as always in silver ribbons. The sensation of Ashburn’s taught muscles stretching and relaxing under her was quite different to the stretching of her own wings in the air as she rode the thermals.
She didn’t slow Ashburn’s gait as they wheeled around over the stone bridge into Ni-Yana, tearing through the streets before finally slowing as she steered her mare around to the back entrance into the palace. Breathing almost as heavily as her mount from the thrill of the run, Nimay dismounted and walked the horse through the narrow door and over to the stables.
Ordinarily, she would have left the tending of her horse to the stable hands, but for some reason, today she felt like tending to the mare with her own hands. Still grinning, she ran her fingers through her hair and began to unbuckle the saddle. Ashburn’s short, black hair was running with sweat under the blanket and each of the leather straps that made up her bridle.
Nimay patted the horse reassuringly; Ashburn snorted in response.
Silently, the warrior and part-time assassin took one of the rough brushes from the wall of the stable and began dragging it through the damp black hair of her mount.
