He doesn't look enough like a dick. Doesn't help when the dude who looks like him is a lovely guy and dickish pictures don't really exist. Oh well.

WHO IS THIS PERSON Clue's in the name! Princess Assili's big brother and Empress Shizaaqa's eldest son.

AGE deceased, age 20

BRIEF BIO As the eldest son, Sahid has always been Shizaaqa's favourite, a position that has not stood him well. He started army training at five, two years early because he's royalty, under the expectation that he'd climb the ladders of rank to the Commanding Circle. Sahid dove on the opportunity, but not in quite the way the upper echelons of army command had hoped. He just likes to be in charge but without really understanding what that means in terms of responsibility.
Sahid graduated from army training at 18, promoted to Captain at 19 and Sergeant pretty much during story time in Tarnish at 20, and even if Tarnish didn't happen that was likely the highest he'd ever reach. He only 'earned' those promotions to give him the taste of command and hopefully the ambition to do his best to rise up. As a sergeant, Sahid has command of a battalion of 20 guys, so nothing much really.
Alas, Tarnish did happen, so he'll never get the chance to rise any higher than sergeant. Not that he was going to, but y'know.

CHARACTER Sahid is a dick. He's been spoiled since the day he was born, able to just threaten his mum on anyone who speaks against him, and he's taken that attitude to the army, too. He still hasn't realised that being royalty doesn't actually mean squat in the army. He's self-obsessed, can't shut up, and can't leave a conversation without having the last word.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Sahid has a huge tattoo of a green dragon over his back, the head of which peers over his left shoulder and onto his chest. He also has the sort of spotted flower pattern from his Family Colours tattooed onto the back of his hands. Best view is here.

Sahid prefers weaponry over command. His favourite is the bow. Nowhere near black horse standards, though.

Status means nothing to Sahid. Someone needs more than a title to earn his respect.

He has HUGE respect for his mother and sister, though, Assili especially. He sees his little sister growing into an empress and is both proud and a little bit scared of her at the same time.

His brother, Kanera, and Sahid compete strongly in everything, from army training to giving presents to their family members. Sahid enjoys teasing his brother as much as he enjoys having a drink with him.

Sahid is always picking on his other younger brother, Shoaib, and making jokes at his expense, but Shoaib is too timid to speak up about it. Sahid does it primarily to try and goad a response out of him, but the practice isn't without a strong sense of enjoyment, either.

Sahid hates planning and talking when he can only see it as time wasting. He understands the need to plan ahead, but thinks the current leaders all spend far too much time on it.

Sahid swears regularly, but he's conscious enough of himself doing it that he manages not to around polite company, namely his mother and sister.

Absolute ladies' man, Sahid loves to flex his muscles and show off his crown to anyone who'll pay attention.

Also repressed homosexual. Or bisexual repressing the manlove. Whatever. He doesn't live to figure it out anyway.

Sahid's favourite drink, he always likes to say, is 'surprise me'. He likes cocktails in combinations he hasn't tasted before, especially if they come in dramatic layers or with hard liquors that make him look tough.
