Character 100-ish 135: Nida
Sep. 21st, 2014 02:33 pmFINALLY THE LAST DESERT PERSON. REJOICE. Also the last child, but there's still Assili to come yet. OOH BURN.

I think this is possibly the cutest child I've drawn.
NAME Nida
WHO IS THIS PERSON One of the random desert group I created for the purpose of having a desert group. Nida is the daughter of Weya and Akleru.
GENDER Female
AGE 5
BRIEF BIO The big event in Nida's life so far has been her little brother Uli dying. He was bitten by a snake when Nida was four and Uli three. When that happened, Nida pretty much stopped talking. She now only talks to the other two kids and a word here and there to Lynun and Falak, who has become pretty much her adoptive mother. Her own mother, Weya, has sort of been neglecting Nida in her grief.
Hali, the other little girl in the group so far, is very protective of her, and her efforts to make Nida laugh have slowly started opening Nida up to the rest of the group again, but it's an uphill battle.
CHARACTER Nida has always been a quiet child, and hardly talks at all since her brother's death. She is nevertheless a very attentive child, learning how to gather and cook from Lynun and Falak, and by watching carefully what the other adults and older kids are doing, then trying to copy them. She's a good girl who does what she's told, especially if it's either of her aunties telling her to do it. They make it into a game for her.
POINTS OF INTEREST
I think everything's already been said. She's only five.
