15 in 15 #1 ~ Anganur
Feb. 5th, 2005 06:23 pmNicked from
drazzi and altered slightly for my own purposes: 15 riders of the Own in 15 nights =D Or days, as the case may be. For some weird and wonderful reason, the Own has been bugging me. Only Nimay, Nolryn and to a certain extent Melraan have any character. So~ I'm giving the other 12 of them some personalities. Because I'm quite clearly nuts. Few if any of them are even going to be mentioned by name in SH, but whatever. Also~ I'm lazy. I can't be stuffed actually giving them characters from scratch, so instead I'm picking a song and giving it to them, basing their character on that.
So! Going in alphabetical order, just cos it's easier, and starting with Anganur, whose song is~ Bloke by Chris Franklin. It's a parody of Bitch by Merideth Brooks, if you're curious =3

Name: Anganur
Age: 29
Currently Appearing In: Nothing really, apart from the collective group known as the King's Own. He's in there somewhere =3;
Orientation: Very straight
Origin: Ni-Yana, capital of Raykin
Significant Other(s): He's got a wife, but whether she's significant or not is debatable. He doesn't beat her or anything, but he's far from the perfect husband.
Background: Born and raised in a pretty typical lower-middle-class house in Ni-Yana, just~ north of the Main Road. He's a bit of a lazy bastard, and only started training for the army when he was 18--three or four years later than most boys start out. Very much a man's man, he made friends easily with all the guys, but not so much his weapons masters. He just barely scraped through the final exams for every weapon except, of course, the pike/spear/javelin/thing, which is the reason he now rides with the Own. He was accepted into the elite ranks four years after having passed the weapons exams, two years before Nimay and Nolryn. Since he got into the Own, he's very much been living he high life, since it's the highest paid job in Raykin bar the Generals (and obviously royalty). He's also worked a lot on his swordsmanship, if only because the other guys in the Own tease him so much about it X3;
Employment: Pikeman in First Company and rider for the King's Own
Appearance: He doesn't much care about his appearance. Shaggy, unbrushed hair, bit more than a 5 o'clock shadow, numerous scars, most notably one on his jawbone that can be seen clearly through his stubble. Very broad, strong shoulders, but he's still a bit of a shortarse, even by Raykinian standards.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Just that scar. Oh, and he got a tatoo on his right shoulder when they were in Kazin once. Same design that's on his sword hilt, which I've yet to design. Hurrah!
Quirks: Erm... I'll make up something later. Maybe.
Sin-of-Anger: Only when he's drunk, in which case he's a very violent drunk.
Sin-of-Envy: Hell no Oo He envies nobody, very happy with his place in life.
Sin-of-Pride: That's more like it. He'll show off to anyone willing to watch, which is most people considering he's part of the group more worshipped than the goddesses in this kingdom.
Sin-of-Gluttony: Only on beer. The boys try to keep it under some sort of control tho, since he's not the gentlest of souls when drunk.
Sin-of-Lust: Ooh yes. Many one-night stands, which his wife tries to deny, regardless of all the rumours.
Sin-of-Avarice: Not really. He doesn't mind too much when it's his shout at the pub.
Sin-of-Sloth: This'd be his biggest sin. He won't do anything at home, will tell his wife he's training when he's having a beer with the boys, and will only do as much training as is absolutely necessary. Definitely a sloth.
Virtues: Um. Hmm. Well, there's the... and he... well he's........ He can be charming if he wants to, which is why his wife stays with him, but that's not really a virtue. I honestly can't think of anything. Ooh, hang on, he's loyal =D Maybe not to his wife, but to his kingdom he certainly is. He's got no problems about risking life and limb to protect Raykin in whatever way the Own can.

Date: 2005-02-05 01:18 am (UTC)It's especially hard when most songs sung by women about guys are "you're a bastard, leave me alone >O" or "You're an angel, I don't deserve you <3" and most songs guys sing are either about girls (in the same "you're a bitch, I hate you >O" or "You're beautiful, I love you <3" vein) or about how they're pathetic. I don't need guys with low self esteem in the Own. One or two, okay, but if the whole bunch of them rode out thinking "I hate my life, I want to die~ ><" then there wouldn't be much hope for Raykin =3;;
