'nother archer, this one being Gylepi, whose character is based on the song Parade by Garbage.
Name~ Gylepi
Age~ 30
Currently Appearing In~ Just the collective group of the Own in various fics and mini!fics.
Orientation~ Straight
Origin~ Ni-Yana, capital of Raykin. Also got a bit of desert blood in him.
Significant Other(s)~ Wife
Background~ Brought up in an upper-class household, his parents forced him to start army training, even though he didn't want to. He didn't really try during the first few years of training, but when he realised he was pretty good with the bow, he started trying harder with that. He was also quite good with a sword in his hands, but definitely preferred archery. He got into the Own pretty soon after passing his final exams--he'd only been in the army half a year when he was offered a position.
Gylepi's one of the Own riders who hates how everyone aspires to be part of that elite group. He'd never really thought about it until he was actually apporoached, and since his first mission, he's been trying to tell everyone that it's definitely not the glorious life everyone takes it to be.
He has a son and a daughter, and he tries to spend as much time with his family as possible, generally only going out to be with the guys when it won't intefere with family life.
Employment~ First Company archer and rider for the King's Own
Appearance~ Tall for a Raykinian and lanky. Most of his height's in his legs. He has a mullet that's slightly curly towards the ends, and a goatee that I forgot to put on the chibi >> It's there tho. Gylepi can be an incredibly intimidating figure if he wants to be--something about the height and the mane of black hair. And of course he's got scars here there and everywhere. Nothing too major though.
Distinguishing Characteristics~ The mullet and the height mean it's virutally impossible for him not to be recognised.
Quirks~ Not really a quirk as such, but there's nowhere else to put it. He loves the simple things in life--returning home from a mission, being with his family, having his child smiling up at him, watching sunsets with his wife, all that kind of stuff.
Sin-of-Anger~ He has a habit of getting angry with himself, and then proceeds to take it out on everyone else. He also gets angry when people start talking up the Own, becuase he knows it's not like that.
Sin-of-Envy~ Not at all. He's got good friends, lovely family, doesn't have to worry about money or anything like that. He's got nobody to envy.
Sin-of-Pride~ He can definitely be a bit of a showoff, whether it's himself or his family.
Sin-of-Gluttony~ Ooh~ yes. He's one of those annoying people who can eat anything, barely excercise and still be a stick.
Sin-of-Lust~ Nah, not really.
Sin-of-Avarice~ Like I say, he likes the simple things in life. Not greedy at all.
Sin-of-Sloth~ He does barely any practice at all with his other weapons, just bow and arrow, and even then not a lot. He just has a way of getting out of doing anything.
Virtues~ Despite his intimidating appearance, he's actually a really nice guy.
