Notes~ Genesis 060. Clearly, I had no ideas whatsoever for this one XD;; I haven't got the faintest idea why he's there either. My guess is he's not Own at all. Can't imagine any of those bois mixing with the commoners oO Silly little thing to counter the angst of the last one XD;

Yamin raced her sister down the banks of the Ra-Lin, splashing into the glittering water with explosions of laughter.
Nimay dove beneath the surface, deep enough that Yamin lost her beneath the shimmering waves the two of them created. She resurfaced with a huge splash, aimed straight at Yamin.
She wiped the water from her face and shot her twin a devilish look before diving stealthily under the water herself.
“Don’t swim out too far, girls,” Riona warned from the bank when she resurfaced, “The current will be too strong for you to manage.”
Yamin looked over to where her mother had started washing their clothes in the river, nodding earnestly before receiving another splash from her sister. She narrowed her eyes threateningly at the other girl, who was grinning cheekily back at her.
She dove under the water again, holding both hands behind her head like a shark’s fin and kicking her way ominously towards Nimay. When she had to lift her head for a breath though, her sister was paying no attention to her, and was instead staring in wonderment at something that was going on downstream behind her.
Yamin splashed her sister half-heartedly, but Nimay gave her a warning glance that didn’t bear any humour, then pointed downstream.
Yamin stood up and followed her sister’s gaze. Her eyes widened at what she saw, then she covered them with her hands and ducked back down into the water.
It was a man bathing in the river… completely nude.
She lifted her head cautiously from under the surface, so only her eyes and nose were above the water. She looked back up at her sister and giggled, making bubbles pop under her nose.
Nimay shook her head and splashed at her again. No, he was not just a naked man, he was one of the Own riders! Nimay grinned and fell backwards into the water, causing waves to wash out around her.
Yamin rolled her eyes. How did Nimay know he was one of the King’s Own? And why in Lin’s name was he bathing in the river, when the palace had their own baths just for the warriors who trained there?
Nimay shrugged offhandedly, ducking under the water so only her eyes were still visible. She’d seen the Own parade in and out of Ni-Yana on missions enough times that she could recognise one of them, even when out of uniform, as this particular one most definitely was.
Yamin squealed and dove back under the water, splashing Nimay with both hands as she did so. She came back up on her back, kicking and splashing for all she was worth.
“Are you okay out there, girls?” Riona called from the bank.
Nimay nodded vigorously, giving Yamin a faintly pleading look. Yamin rolled her eyes and nodded back to her mother, then dove for her sister, pushing her back into the water with another squeal. She jumped back quickly and made a mad dash upstream to escape retribution.
