Date: 2014-01-02 04:46 am (UTC)1. What does his bedroom look like?
He doesn't have one! He's paranoid of sleep and hasn't slept since his daughters brought him back. His body doesn't know when it's eaten or drank enough, so how would it know when he'd slept enough? He could very easily go to sleep and never wake up.
Back in the day when he was alive, even the 'palace', such as it was, was pretty basic. It was still built of stone like the modern one, and had several rooms more than the average house, but they'd only been a civilisation for about 20 years, so yeah. His bedroom would have been not much bigger than the double bed that fitted in it, and that bed was just a block of stone raised above the ground--hadn't invented mattresses yet. The fourth wall would have opened out onto a small balcony of sorts, but it wouldn't have been anything special.
2. Does he have any daily rituals?
Every morning he talks to his family and reiterates his promises to them. He knows they're out there somewhere, whether they're around to hear him that morning or not is irrelevant, because they might be the next day.
7. Favourite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time.
Yan has all the time in the world so he doesn't really feel that he's wasting it. His favourite pastime is to just go flying. It's his greatest stress relief.
12. Favourite book genre?
Yan doesn't read to enjoy the story. He does, however, chase any legends that might help him to live again. His own very real story became legend, so he continues searching for one that might have a grain of truth to bring him back to life.
18. Favourite beverage?
Beer. He's still Raykinian X3 The alcohol doesn't affect him, though, because he doesn't have a bloodstream for it to get into.
20. Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them?
Nothing out of the ordinary. Before he found his yrae feather, he lived with his family in the desert, where any serious illness was generally seen as a weakness to the group--providing food and care for someone who not only couldn't give any of it back but might also infect the rest of the group was too much of a burden to carry in such a harsh place, so they were usually left to die. Since Yan made it through that period of his life, it stands to reason he never had anything serious enough to keep him from his duties.
22. Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?
Realistically he'd just go flying, but to keep with the question let's pretend he puts pencil to paper. Probably a whole lot of swirly doodling that doesn't actually look like anything, but would end up filling the paper.
35. What activities does he enjoy, but considers to be a waste of time?
Flyyyying~ but again, more of a stress relief and a time to think rather than a waste of time. Can you waste something that's infinite?
36. What makes him feel guilty?
Nothing anymore. He felt guilty for about a century for killing Qewir (the guy who killed him) but eventually he forgave himself for that. He felt guilty for his family's life after his death, but again, eventually forgave himself that because he wasn't around to tell them to stop wasting their lives on him.
47. How does he express love?
By. Avenging them. Yep. So romantic >> He cares for the twins, which he's told them but they don't really believe him. He's trying to teach them all the lessons he'd neglected to teach his own daughters and son. TEACHING there we go. He expresses love by teaching. Just a weird and kind of harsh way of teaching.
